Safety Tips when hitching up a Trailer

T = Tyres: No cuts or bulges, at least 1.6mm of tread and the correct pressure for load
H = Hitch: Correct height and fully locked on
R = Registration Plate: Same as Towing vehicle
I  =  Indicators: All operational especially on trailer
L = Lights: All working, rear lights, brake lights, hi-intensity light, number plate light
L = Load: Load distributed over axles and well secured. Correct hitch weight
S =  Safety: Stow Jockey wheel and legs high. Break-away cable ON, Trailer Brake OFF
